Ray Brimble is the founder and managing partner of Lynxs Group LLC and acting Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Brimble’s business portfolio combines entrepreneurial, managerial, and academic accomplishments spanning a 35-year career, which began when he founded his first company at the age of 22. Through the years, Mr. Brimble has become known for his specialty in bringing together numerous elements such as people, ideas, capital, research, and expertise into one focused effort toward a common goal. His leadership talent has earned him a place as an international leader in Texas business circles with global impact. He is a past chairman and current board member of the International Partnership of Greater Austin, a nonprofit organization bridging cultural, educational, and business opportunities between Texas and the global community. Mr. Brimble has been active in the logistics sector for over 25 years and has developed, acquired, and/or advised on logistics real estate transactions exceeding $2 billion.
Mr. Brimble holds a B.A. in International Studies, Ampla Cum Laude, from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University, which he attended as a Scottish Rite Fellow. In addition, Mr. Brimble served as an International Business faculty member at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin from 1990 to 1993.
Ms.Ortiz started at Lynxs in 2010. She first served as the project manager for one of Lynxs Group’s largest and most complicated projects located in Bogota, Colombia. With over 20 years of experience managing new business development and projects, she brings excellent management experience and the ability to take a project from idea to completion.
In 2012 Mrs. Ortiz was promoted to Vice President and she now manages a wide variety of projects at Lynxs with a focus on bringing new investments with both active and passive roles for Lynxs into the portfolio. Additionally she is actively involved in the financial management of existing assets and potential sale of assets.
Ms. Ortiz has a BBA from the University of Texas with a focus on Finance and International Business. She started her career in the high tech industry prior to coming to Lynxs Group at the beginning of 2010. Her time at a high tech start up included International Sales Manager where she increased sales and the distribution of the product into existing and new and emerging markets. She also served as Marketing Director where she managed a diverse team of product marketing and marketing communication professionals. Her success in leading the marketing team led to her appointment as an Account Executive where she focused on Key Account Business Development. She has managed people and projects both domestically and internationally with great success.
In addition to her career Mrs. Ortiz is also very involved with community service through her children’s PTA, sports, and band. She is also an active volunteer and committee member with the Boy Scouts of America.
Penny Lambright is the Asset Manager for the Lynxs group of companies and has been with Lynxs since 2007. She is currently responsible for all leasing activity, maintenance, service contracts, overall office management, and interaction with government entities for several key properties in the Lynxs portfolio. Additionally she manages the day to day finances and accounting for all properties and investments.
Before coming to Lynxs, Penny managed the bookkeeping for several real estate companies both in the Austin area and abroad. She has a very extensive knowledge and expertise surrounding property and asset management.
Penny has lived in Grand Cayman as well as several cities in Texas and Florida. She is an active volunteer in her community.
Mr. Lythgoe is the General Manager of the Alaska CargoPort project. He has been with Lynxs for 12 years and in that time he has been leading the Alaska CargoPort beginning from the planning stages, through construction, and now management. Mr. Lythgoe also works on identifying new opportunities and business development.
Mr. Lythgoe has a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Civil Engineering. He also holds an associate degree in Aviation Technology. He has been working in some apacity relating to the airport and aviation since the age of 19. His experience includes General Manager of several airport projects including the Lynxs Alaska CargoPort; Airport Division Manager at Merrill Field; Executive Manager of his own Construction firm; and Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor. He also served as the Executive Assistant to the Mayor of Anchorage, was promoted to Capital Projects Director and later Property and Facility Director. He was responsible for $300 million worth of public facilities.
Mr. Lythgoe has served on many boards and commissions and is currently a member of the Aviation Advisory Commission reporting to the Commissioner of Transportation and Public Facilities and the Governor and legislature of Alaska.
Gretchen Rickard is the Property Manager for the Lynxs facilities in Alaska and handles the day-to-day operations of the properties. Gretchen has been an Alaska resident for over twenty years. She relocated from the SF Bay Area to Anchorage after working several summers as an Office Manager in the bush for a remote shore based salmon processing company. Ms. Rickard first began working with the Lynxs Group while working for MAPCO, the originating financial partner for the Alaska CargoPort project. Ms. Rickard was recruited by the Lynxs Group in 2006 to rejoin the company. Ms. Rickard has been involved in human resources, personnel management, property and facility management, and event coordination. She is currently responsible for all leasing activity, maintenance, service contracts, overall office management, and interaction with government entities. She also works on special projects such as acquisitions and environmental risk management. She was selected by the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport to be a member of their Master Plan Technical Committee and is very active in her community.
For 22 years Mr. Jackson served as the CEO of a Danish-owned multinational group manufacturing computer printer supplies in 12 countries and selling in over 100 countries. On the sale of the group in 1996 he embarked on a career in consultancy. During this time he has been a director of both private and public companies and represented a major venture capital group.
Mr. Jackson’s focus has been on advising boards, mostly on strategy, business planning, and marketing. He has been instrumental in numerous turnarounds, acquisitions, a stock market flotation, and disposals. Mr. Jackson’s experience in unlocking board effectiveness and resolving familial shareholder challenges has been crucial. He has advised businesses in construction and property development, a parcel airline, and companies in the areas of fruit and vegetable import, medical services, and industrial/medical chart manufacture, among others.
Previously working in a joint venture with Ray Brimble in computer-printer supplies manufacturing, in 2001 Mr. Jackson was asked via Mr. Brimble to join forces in the expansion of Lynxs to Europe and beyond; that vision has now translated into the global expansion of the Lynxs Group.
